THOMAS REINER – Frate Precision Artist
Thomas Reiner
international Trumpet Soloist

We are pleased to officially announce the newest member of our Frate Precision Artist Family!
Thomas Reiner was born in Ludwigsburg in 1969. At the age of twelve, he met Maurice André at
a concert and immediately decided to learn the trumpet. Two of his most influential teachers at the music academies in Würzburg, Leipzig, and Weimar were Professors Helmut Erb and Uwe Komischke. Today, Thomas Reiner works worldwide as a soloist and university lecturer.
His brilliant, light tone in the upper register predestines him for the interpretation of particularly exposed trumpet parts.
His albums, released on the Naxos label, have received great international acclaim and excellent reviews. Radio stations such as SWR, BBC Radio, ORF, and Radio New Zealand regularly broadcast his recordings.
In 2011, he was the only German trumpet player invited by the International Trumpet Guild to a conference in Minneapolis,
where he performed before an international audience. In 2013, he gave two concerts at the international VG Brass Festival in Zagreb.
In 2021 and 2023, his journey took him to Venice to record new CDs with the renowned ensemble Interpreti Veneziani.
In 2024, he accepted an invitation to give masterclasses on the piccolo trumpet at the Trumpet Days in Linköping, Sweden.
In 2025, he was an invited artist at the ITG Regional Conference in Varadzdin.
